Collection: Shell
Shell originates from an observation made in Nansha. I collected a number of shells, each marked with fine perforations across their surfaces. These were not man-made, but traces left behind by crabs during feeding.Rather than signs of damage, these “voids” are understood as quiet evidence of life once present.
In the design, the shells are translated into metal forms, preserving these irregular apertures. Diamonds are set around them, rendering absence visible.
